Can my child do a trial class?
Yes. Every child who hasn’t attended Funky Moves before can come along for a Trial class. Please note these are limited in numbers, so we can guarantee extra attention is given to those new to class. All the information we need is the chosen class location, parent’s name, contact number, child’s name and age. You can email this information over to our Classes Manager, Holly who will confirm your class for you.

How do I sign my kid up for Funky Moves classes?
If you are rebooking for the following term, you can sign your children up via our Class Schedule page by clicking on the relevant class location. If you are wanting to sign your child up after their Trial, please confirm with our Classes Manager, Holly that you wish to continue and our Accounts Team will send you your pro rata invoice for the remaining weeks of term.

What should my child bring to class?
Please ensure you bring water for your child as our classes are high energy!

What should my child wear to class?
Please ensure your child wears comfortable clothes suitable for dancing, and either trainers or plimsoles. Some of our kids also like to wear our branded dance wear , which can be purchased on our Merchandise page.

Can I stay and watch the class?
We understand that young children can be reluctant to immediately join in a new activity, so do allow parents to stay and watch the first warm-up game, Funky Moves Cool Grooves. After this, we require all parents to leave the room (we have all contact numbers and you are welcome to wait outside) so that your child has the best chance of enjoying the class with their fellow Funky Movers. Our teachers are highly experienced in dealing with all behavioral circumstances and are experts at encouraging reluctant, shy, upset or unsure children to become involved in the class in some way. We also have a performance class at the end of every term for you to watch the amazing routines the children have been working on.

What is your cancellation policy for Covid?
If classes are cancelled due to Covid related restrictions, the remaining classes of the half term/term will be completed online via the Zoom app. Refunds will not be permitted.

Do you accept childcare vouchers?
Unfortunately not. It is always worth subscribing to our mailing list as we often send out early bird offers and discount codes for loyal customers.

What if I can’t find the class?
Our phone/email office hours are 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, so please ensure any questions regarding the venue are asked within these hours to guarantee a response in time for our Saturday morning classes. You can find all class location addresses and post codes on our Class Schedule page.

Are your teachers DBS checked?
All teachers are Fully Enhanced DBS checked and follow our Safeguarding Policy (which can be found on the website).

Can my child bring a friend to class?
Of course! We love welcoming new people to Funky Moves. Please follow the protocol for signing up a Trial (found at the top of our FAQs section).

Do you offer a sibling discount?
We don’t currently offer a sibling discount, but please do reach out if you require a payment plan to break up the cost of the term.

Do you break for school holidays?
Yes. Our Public Class terms are always 10 weeks in length (with a break in the middle) to allow for varying holidays in schools. We do however, always run holiday courses and events to keep the kids entertained throughout the entire year!

What if my child can’t do Saturday mornings?
Don’t worry! Our private classes are incredibly well-priced and super flexible, so that your child can have a class with their friends in the comfort of their own home on a day, time and regularity that suits you!
